Bank of Baroda presented the Maharaja Sayajirao Lokbhasha Samman to noted folk singer Malini Awasthi for contributing to popularising folk languages through her songs. The bank’s executive director Ajay K Khurana presented the award to her. The Bank of Baroda presents this honour to personalities every year for their contribution to popularising regional languages. The award for the year 2020-21 was presented to Padma Shri recipient folk singer Malini Awasthi.
