Bharatiya Janata Party workers across Uttarakhand thanked chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for recommending a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) graduate-level examination case. Programmes were held at the State headquarters and district offices, where party members raised slogans, distributed sweets and set off fireworks.
The State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that workers at various levels participated in these events and welcomed the government’s decision. He added that the organisation collectively described the move as one that addressed concerns raised by the youth. Senior party leader Jyoti Prasad Gairola said that workers across the State expressed their appreciation in different ways. He recalled earlier measures taken by Dhami to address exam-related issues, including the implementation of the anti-cheating law.
He said that the CBI probe recommendation was made after doubts emerged regarding the recent examination. The State general secretary Kundan Parihar said that the investigation will help clear confusion and bring to light those involved in irregularities. He stated that those found guilty should face strict legal action.
The general secretary Deepti Rawat also welcomed the decision and expressed confidence that the process will identify all those responsible and safeguard the transparency of recruitment in the State. Several senior party leaders were also present during celebrations at the party headquarters on Tuesday.
