BJP to hold social justice fortnight to highlight Modi govt’s achievements

Ayushman Bharat Scheme has proved to be a blessing for the poor- Chauhan

The Uttarakhand unit of the BJP is celebrating social justice fortnight in the state as part of the nationwide plan of the party to highlight the social welfare schemes of the Narendra Modi government. The party is organising district level programmes to set up communication with the public on the social welfare schemes during the fortnight.

The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Chauhan said that under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Union government has taken responsibility for the healthcare of 18 crore card holders. He said that the scheme is proving to be a blessing for the poor families. Chauhan said that 3.28 crore people have availed the benefit of the scheme so far.  He informed that the government of India has approved a budget of Rs 1,600 crore for the  Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission which would create digital records of the people. Chauhan said that there were six All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the country in the year 2014 which has now increased to 21. The number of medical colleges has increased from 381 in the year 2014 to 565 now.

The BJP leader added that India has become a role model for the world in the vaccination programme for Covid-19 as a record 185 crore vaccine doses have so far been administered in the country. He said that the government has brought the medical devices like syringes, digital thermometer and instant dialysis machines into the drug category from April 1 this year to control their prices. He claimed that the projects like Mission Indradhanush, Pradhan Mantru Matra Vandana Yojana, TB eradication task by the year 2025, and launch of Malaria free India project, fit India campaign and online registration facility of Modi government have helped in making the country healthy.
