The Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his condolence over the death of seven pilgrims in the Uttarkashi accident and wished for a speedy recovery for those injured. He posted on Twitter, now X, expressing his condolence and wishing strength to the bereaved families to bear the loss.
He said that he had also talked to the minister in-charge of the district Prem Chand Aggarwal and the additional chief secretary on the phone and instructed them to monitor the rescue operations and ensure the injured receive all possible help from the administration.
Dhami said that he had also issued instructions to the Uttarkashi district administration to conduct relief and rescue operations and ensure proper arrangements for the treatment of the injured. The State government also issued helpline numbers 7500337269 and 0134-222722 and 0134 222426 in the evening.
