BJP  blows the 2019 general election trumpet

The state Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has blown the 2019 general election trumpet following its core committee meeting held here on Thursday. It is learned that the party is embarking on a month-long public-contact programme starting with the celebration of Shaurya Diwas. The second anniversary of the Surgical Strike during which the Indian Army jawans launched an attack on the militant launch pads across the line of control into the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir would be celebrated across the state on September 29 as Shaurya Diwas. Besides, they would also celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with a host of programmes to be hosted across the state. Speaking of the programmes lined up for the celebration of Shaurya Diwas, the  district BJP president Jaipal Chauhan said that it would mark the beginning of the party’s poll campaign for next year’s general election. “The recent presence of the senior leader Shyam Jaju and the RSS veteran Suresh Bhaiyya ji in Haridwar has galvanized the district party unit. The leaders and the activists are now fully tuned to the election mode. We would pull up all the stops to repeat the 2014 result,” he said. He further said that like all the Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, the party would have separate call center here too.  All the party workers have been directed to use NaMo app. The social media unit has directed the workers to make use of Whatsapp groups in every booth, he said. read more post… Saturday, 29 September 2018 | PNS | Haridwar–
