Kasiga holds first inter-school folk dance competition

The first inter school folk dance competition ‘Dance Vibes’ was organised by Kasiga School which saw performances by students of nine schools.

The teams which competed were from The Asian School, Doon International School, Ecole Globale School, Him Jyoti School, Mussoorie International School, Saint Jude’s School, The Indian Public School, Welham Girls School and the host school. Kasiga School chairman Ramesh Batta was the chief guest on the occasion. Saint Jude’s School was declared the winner while Welham Girls’ School came in second and Kasiga School secured the third position.

The event organisers said that the programme was aimed at promoting Indian culture and raising awareness of the various forms of folk dance performed by citizens of the States of India.
