The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Mahendra Bhatt stated that the government is committed to the safety of every citizen in the State. Commenting on the recent crimes committed in the provisional State capital and other districts, he emphasised that action will be taken against those involved in criminal activities under a zero-tolerance policy and that the culprits will face the harshest punishment.
Bhatt said that the accused have been arrested and a detailed investigation is currently underway in all the recent cases of crime in the State. He also called on the opposition to refrain from politicising these incidents. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued strict instructions regarding law and order, ensuring that those responsible will not be spared, he said.
Bhatt further stated that individuals involved in crimes against women will face severe consequences. The government stands with the victims and is committed to providing any necessary assistance to their families. He assured that the perpetrators of the heinous crimes in Dehradun and Rishikesh have been apprehended and that a thorough investigation will gather solid evidence against them to ensure maximum punishment under the law.
