The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt claimed that the development works in Bihar by the ‘double-engine’ government under its chief minister Nitish Kumar ensured a victory in the elections. He said that the electoral win secured on the “development formula” will be replicated by BJP in Uttarakhand.Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other party workers celebrated the victory at the party’s State office here on Friday.
Bhatt said, “The people of Bihar once again rejected jungle Raj and supported development and public welfare policies. The women, youths, the poor, businessmen, workers and the elderly, along with other sections of society cast their votes on the basis of the work done by the double-engine government,” Bhatt said.
Dhami said that the people of Bihar had once again rejected nepotism and jungle Raj along with the lies, rumours and negative politics played by the opposition there. The people of Bihar have supported good governance once again, he said. “Our double-engine governments have been consistently winning elections in the States and we have been winning the trust of the people repeatedly,” he said.Responding to a question regarding Uttarakhand, the CM said that the people will teach a lesson to the Congress in Uttarakhand and other States where elections are to take place. Interacting with party workers earlier, Dhami said that the people of Bihar have proven once again that development-based politics is their first choice. “The major victory of the National Democratic Alliance in the Bihar Vidhan Sabha elections is a result of the deep faith the public has in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The public opinion shows that the State wants a stable government, better governance and consistent progress. The Mahagathbandhan’s defeat clearly shows that Bihar completely rejects nepotism and politics based on rumours and disinformation. The choice of the people has been guided by development, good governance and transparency. This victory is also due to the hard work of the party workers,” Dhami said.
