Bhatt says Dhami leading Uttarakhand towards developmental growth

The State president of Bharatiya Janta Party, Mahendra Bhatt extended greetings and best wishes to chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for completing four years in office on Friday. Bhatt said that the State is steadily becoming a contributor to the vision of a developed India under Dhami’s leadership.
He stated that Dhami’s tenure, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has come to symbolise policy clarity and a forward-looking approach. According to Bhatt, the CM has displayed commitment and administrative direction that has reshaped governance in the State. Bhatt said that Uttarakhand became the first State to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), calling it a reflection of the BJP’s ideological clarity and constitutional vision.
He said that the recent changes in land laws highlight the government’s focus on protecting cultural identity, environmental balance, and local interests. He credited the Dhami government for enacting an anti-cheating law that curbed malpractice in examinations and helped restore trust among young aspirants. Bhatt claimed that over 23,000 government jobs have been filled transparently since then, reflecting the administration’s focus on merit and accountability. The BJP leader also highlighted steps taken for women’s welfare, including 33 per cent reservation and measures for safety and self-employment. These steps have aimed to encourage financial and social independence among women in the State.
Bhatt also pointed to the State’s management of the Char Dham Yatra and the reconstruction work at Kedarnath and Badrinath, undertaken with central government’s assistance. He said that improved planning has led to better visitor experiences and enhanced tourism. Bhatt added that the government has worked to create opportunities for youth in startups, innovation and technical education, helping them move toward economic independence. Bhatt said that Dhami’s current term represents Uttarakhand’s evolving identity and direction. He expressed confidence that under Dhami’s leadership, Uttarakhand will continue to achieve further milestones.
