In latest news from Doon, Uttarakhand Bhasha Sansthan during a meeting held at the Secretariat laid stress on preparing a digital museum to digitally preserve the folk tales, folk songs, proverbs and literature of the Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari languages. The officers concerned were directed to
launch mobile apps, podcasts and e-learning courses to promote regional dialects. Besides, the meeting emphasised establishment of local dialect and culture study centres in the universities operating across the State.
The sansthan officials said that the future generation should be enabled to connect with their folk languages through comics and video books to be developed in Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari languages.
