Bharatiya Shaheed Sainik Vidyalaya lifts the football trophy

Bharatiya Shaheed Sainik Vidyalaya won the 6th Shered Smriti Inter School Girls Football Competition played at the grounds of All Saints’ College, as it beat the Blue team of All Saints’ College 3-1 in the final match. The Kumaon commissioner, Deepak Rawat presented the trophies to the winning and runners-up teams.

In the first half of the final match, Uma Bora and Babli Gadiya of BSSV  scored two goals each to give the team a 2-0 lead. In the second half, Uma Bora of BSSV scored a goal to make the score 3-0 while in the last moments, Nandini Bisht of All Saints’ scored a goal to make the score 3-1.

Babli Gadia won the title of Best Player in the tournament while Neeru Kohli won the title of Best Goalkeeper, Himani Gaida won the title of Best Defender, Garima Singh won the title of Best Midfielder and Nandini Bisht won the title of Forward.

Among the dignitaries present were the principal of All Saints’ College, Anjana Richards  and the principal of BSSV, Bishan Singh Mehta.
