Marking the 60th foundation day of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Kendriya Vidyalaya II Roorkee celebrated the annual day and the annual sports day together on Friday. Chairman of the school management committee and Commandant of the B E G and C Brigadier Rajesh Bhat was present as the chief guest. The children took part in march past and presented cultural programmes that included dance drama on mobile addiction. The senior functionaries of the school said that after the cultural programmes, the activities of the annual sports day commenced. Brigadier Bhat in his address said that sports and cultural activities lead to the all-round development of body, mind and brain. The school principal Arvind Kumar dwelt on the significance of the day and said that cultural activities and sports inculcate a sense of responsibility among the children.
