BJP to mark its foundation day with various events

The Bharatiya Janata Party will mark its foundation day on April 6 with various programmes from the booth to district level. In an informal interaction with the media, the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address the party workers on the occasion. The party will also observe the week till Ambedkar Jayanti as social justice week.

Bhatt said that the party had undertaken a long journey and achieved its current position and programmes will be held on a large scale to make its foundation day special. The main programmes will be organised at the party’s State headquarters and all party offices where the PM will address party workers virtually. Along with the party headquarters, the BJP will hold a flag hoisting programme in all district offices. The party workers associated with the party’s foundation will be felicitated and discussions will be held on the party’s journey along with the achievements of the Central and State governments. The party office bearers and workers will also paint the BJP lotus symbol wall paintings at various locations on the occasion.

The party’s State general secretary Aditya Kothari informed that on the directions of Bhatt the party will observe social justice week from April 4 to 14 till Ambedkar Jayanti.Public discussions will be held on steps taken for the welfare of the poor, deprived, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and backward classes during the week, he said. Kothari further informed that as speakers in the main programmes, the State president will speak at the party headquarters, Rajya Sabha member Kalpana Saini will speak in Uttarkashi, party State vice president Mukesh Koli will speak in Rudraprayag, vice president Neeru Devi will speak in Tehri, Meera Raturi will speak in Dehradun rural, vice president Deshraj Karnwal in Rishikesh, Rakesh Nainwal in Haridwar and similarly other office bearers will speak at the events in other parts of the State.
