A contract has been signed between Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) and Instruments Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), Dehradun to enhance the country’s space capabilities. Under the contract, astronomical development would be carried forward with electro-optics systems. Besides, development of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI and ML) will also be an important part of the contract.
Commenting on the contract, the director, ARIES, Manish Naja said that under it, the mission has been named Space Situational Awareness. “This is an important agreement regarding technological development which will help uncover the mysteries of space,” he added.
