All you need to know about JEE Main 2022

The registration portal for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2022 will be live soon. The website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the registration process and students can apply online at jeemain.nta.in. However, no official information is out yet. It is expected that the application forms for the first session will be available in December 2021. Organised by NTA, JEE Main is a national-level engineering exam. It is conducted every year to offer admission in B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Plan/ B.Arch courses. The registration process will be organised in online mode and students must go through complete eligibility criteria before applying for it.

The exam will be organised in four sessions – February, March, April and May. The application date, exam dates, eligibility, pattern, syllabus, and other details will be provided with the notification. As per the latest eligibility norms, students who have completed their 12th or its equivalent exam in the year 2020, 2021, or appearing for 12th in 2022 are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2022.

To get admission in IITs/ NITs and other renowned institutions, students must get 75% marks in 12th level (50% marks for B.Arch/ B.Plan admission). For B.E/ B.Tech admission, applying students must have passed their 12th level with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology or other technical vocational subjects. For admission into B. Arch course, students must qualify their exam with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects. While for B.Plan admission, candidates must have passed with Mathematics subject.

The authority had relaxed the eligibility criteria last year considering the Covid-19 situation.

Students must note various preparation tips for JEE Main 2022 such as:

  • Start solving previous year question papers and sample papers.
  • Attempt mock test available offline or online.
  • Go through the JEE Main syllabus and paper pattern.
  • Make a study routine and follow the routine in disciplined manner.
  • Go through various study materials & books available online and offline for preparation.
  • Find video lectures online and watch it to get help for the exam.

The exam for first session of JEE Main 2022 is expected to be held in the month of February 2022. Students can apply for single sessions or various sessions. Best of the JEE Main 2022 score will be considered for admission.
