Alia Bhatt has been chosen People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India’s ‘Person of the Year’ for the year 2021. The actress is an avid animal lover and often shares pictures with her pets on her social media handle. PETA India announced the news and wrote, “From urging her fans to adopt from shelters & never shop for dogs and cats to advocating vegan fashion and using the power of social media to call for stronger animal protection laws, @aliaa08 speaks for animals and is PETA India’s Person of the Year”. She has also invested in Phool, a company behind Fleather, a vegan leather made from discarded temple flowers. Her vegan kidswear line, Ed-a-Mamma, was awarded the 2021 PETA India fashion award “for helping to nurture kids’ love for animal and nature”.

On the professional front, the actress is busy promoting her film ‘RRR’ with Jr NTR and Ram Charan.
