All districts of the State are forecast to witness rainfall today with the State Meteorological Centre also issuing thunderstorms and hail warnings. The centre has issued an orange alert regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/hail/gusty wind (50-60 kmph) likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Champawat and
Nainital districts on Sunday. The centre has also issued a yellow warning regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/gusty wind (40-50 kmph) likely to
occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts today. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at many places in the mountain
districts and at a few places in the plain districts of the State.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly cloudy sky with light to moderate rain/thunderstorms accompanied with lightning /gusty wind (40-50 kmph) also likely to occur. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Saturday were 34 degrees Celsius and 22.1 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 32.5 degrees Celsius and 20.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 25.5 degrees Celsius and 11.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.8 degrees Celsius and 14.8 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. Very light rain was reported in Badrinath and at a few other places.
