AI Safety Conclave Releases Research Report on Guidelines for Critical Sectors

A comprehensive research report titled “Principles for Ethical and Safe Agentic AI Orchestration Across Infrastructure Gradients – Safety Guidelines for Critical Sectors in India and the Global South” was released at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus.
The report was unveiled during the AI Safety Conclave organised by the AI Safety Research Lab under the Amrita Centre for Cybersecurity Systems and Networks, themed “Safe AI for the Global South.” The conclave was held as a precursor to the India AI Impact Summit 2026, to be organised by the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The event featured eminent leaders, including additional secretary, Ministry of IT and CEO, IndiaAI Mission, Abhishek Singh; assistant director-general, UNESCO, Gabriela Ramos and the Minister of ICT, Mauritius, Avinash Ramtohul aside from senior representatives from DRDO, NASSCOM and McKinsey.
The university officials stated that the report provides practical frameworks to ensure ethical, transparent and safe deployment of agentic AI across critical sectors such as healthcare, education, finance, energy and public services, particularly addressing the needs of India and the Global South.
