In breaking news from Uttarakhand, the agitating wrestlers, who were recently detained and removed from the makeshift tent they were agitating from at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar said that they are going to immerse their medals in Ganga in Haridwar and then they would stage an indefinite hunger strike at India Gate. “We will throw our medals in Ganga in Haridwar at 6pm,” said the wrestlers. Notably, they have been protesting against the president of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over sexual harassment allegation.
Speaking of their resolve, wrestler Sakshee Malikkh said on twitter that they will immerse their medals in Ganga though these medals can be said to be their souls and then resort to indefinite hunger strike at India Gate.
