The Dehradun district electoral officer and district magistrate R Rajesh Kumar stated on Saturday that the administration has set 23 Adarsh polling booths and 18 Sakhi booths as per the direction of Election Commission of India (ECI). Kumar informed that these booths have been set up in all the constituencies across the district. Besides this, the DM also apprised that the voters who are unable to present their photo identity cards in the polling booths can present documents like Aadhar card, PAN card, Smart Card, Passport, MNREGA job card, photo passbook issued by banks or post offices and health insurance smart card issued by Ministry of Labour to cast their votes. He appealed to all the citizens to cast their votes on February 14 in their nearby polling booths.
