ACS Bardhan visits Covid control room

The additional chief secretary (ACS) Anand Bardhan visited the Covid-19 control room situated in the building of the Health directorate in Dehradun on Friday. He took stock of the preparation of the health department for dealing with the pandemic of Covid-19 and gave necessary instructions to the officers concerned. The ACS inspected the war room and understood the functioning of e- sanjeevni OPD and 104 helpline facility. The health secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey accompanied the ACS during the visit. It is worth mentioning here that when the patient inflow in the hospitals got affected due to the pandemic of Covid-19, the National Health Mission (NHM) started the e- Sanjeevni OPD by which the patients can get the consultancy of medical experts from their homes. The patients can get medical consultancy by making a video call. This OPD remains operational from 9 am to 6 pm. A total of 3.73 lakh patients have so far taken the free consultancy under the e- sanjeevni OPD in the state.

In his visit the ACS sought detailed information about the working of the state level war room and system of daily reporting from the districts. He directed that the control rooms of the districts too should work on the lines of the state control room so that prompt help and information is provided to the Covid-19 positive patients and those in home isolation.

The Director General (DG) of state health services Dr Tripti Bahuguna, NHM mission director Sonika, directors Dr Shailja Bhatt, Dr Vinita Shah, Dr Saroj  Naithani, the Chief Operations Officer (CEO) of Covid control room Dr Abhishek Tripathi and other officers were present on the occasion.
