The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released its final list of candidates for the ensuing Assembly elections and also changed its two candidates from Nainital and Rudrapur Assembly seats on the last day of nomination filing for the polls. The state in-charge of the party Dinesh Mohaniya released five names in the sixth and final list on his Twitter handle on Friday. The party has fielded former Congress leader Manju Tiwari Kaladhungi constituency and Hem Arya from Nainital. Arya had joined BJP after leaving Congress earlier this month and left the BJP to join AAP on Friday. AAP had earlier chosen Bhuvan Arya from the Nainital seat. The party has also changed its candidate from the Rudraprayag seat from Kishori Nandan Dobhal to Pyar Singh Negi. Besides this,

Manoj Shah and Nand Lal have been fielded from Yamunotri and Rudrapur respectively. All the candidates filed their nominations on Friday.

Mohaniya said that AAP is the only party in the state with women constituting 10 per cent of its candidates. He said that the party has given seven tickets to women from Narendranagar, Jwalapur, Kaladhungi, Rajpur Road, Bajpur, Khanpur and Gangolihat assembly seats which are more than the other parties. All the candidates will get the support of locals on February 14 for the development that they have been deprived of for over two decades, added Mohaniya.
