Ajay Bhatt flags off Lalkuan-Prayagraj railway service

The train from Lalkuan to Prayagraj was flagged off on Friday by the former Union Minister and Member of Parliament from Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar, Ajay Bhatt and the MLA from Lalkuan, Mohan Singh Bisht.
The train will depart from Lalkuan every Friday at 2:50 PM while on its return journey it will depart from Prayagraj on Thursday at 11:30 AM. It will stop at Bareilly, Kasganj, Farrukhabad and Kanpur.
Bhatt in his address said that the operation of Lalkuan- Prayagraj rail service would help the people of Uttarakhand to visit Prayagraj conveniently. “Also, people will come from Prayagraj and other places of Uttar Pradesh to visit religious and tourist places of Kumaon,” he said.
He further said that the train has been started in conformity with the longstanding public demand. “If people use this service it will continue permanently. Lalkuan railway station has been appropriately expanded and in future, more long- distance trains will be operated from Lalkuan railway station and there is also a plan to operate superfast trains like Vande Bharat Express,” he said and added that efforts are on to operate trains from Lalkuan to Kamakhya Devi and Lalkuan to Jhansi.
