The Uttarakhand unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) started a free auto ambulance service for transporting Covid-19 patients on Friday. These auto rickshaw ambulances were flagged off by the party leader Colonel ( Retd) Ajay Kothiyal at the state party office in Dehradun.
Speaking on the occasion, Kothiyal said that the ambulances would help the people suffering from Covid-19 . He said that all these auto ambulances are fitted with oxygen so that patients face no problem during their transportation to hospitals. The AAP leader said that the state government failed in making preparation for dealing with the disease as a result of which the state is on top position in the list of worst affected states of the country. He said that soon he would start a 20 bed hospital for Covid patients.
The AAP has released a phone number 8800026071 for getting these auto ambulances. The party has deployed four ambulances for Mussoorie Vidhansabha, three each for Rajpur and two each for Raipur and Vikasnagar assembly constituencies.
