President Droupadi Murmu got emotional on Friday as students of the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD) in Dehradun sang a soulful birthday song for her. The children sang the iconic “Baar baar din ye aaye, baar baar dil ye gaaye, tum jiyo hazaaron saal,” filling the hall with warmth and applause.
The moment unfolded during the President’s ongoing three-day visit to Uttarakhand, which began on Thursday. A video shared from the event shows Murmu listening with deep emotion as the children, many of them visually impaired, sang in perfect unison. Her heartfelt reaction quickly went viral, earning praise across social media platforms.
