Run for Yoga connects people of border areas

Ahead of the 11th International Day of Yoga, the Ayush department launched a Run for Yoga to connect people living in the border areas of Pithoragarh district. Inaugurating the programme, the mayor of Pithoragarh, Kalpana Devlal exhorted the people to make yoga a part of their daily life for a healthy and harmonious life. Along with school children, various departmental officers and employees, members of Nehru Yuva Kendra and ITBP jawans participated.
Later, the district magistrate, Vinod Goswami flagged off the Run for Yoga. The race started from Takana Collectorate and reached Ramlila Maidan while traversing various routes. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were the CDO Deepak Saini, SDM Vaibhav Kandpal and district Ayurvedic and Unani officer Chandrakala Bhaisora.
