The media in charge of Uttarakhand BJP, Manvir Singh Chauhan has said that the positive effects of the stringent land law enacted by the BJP government of Uttarakhand is clearly visible on the ground. He said the fact that thousands of bighas of land has already been vested in the government proves that the land laws are very effective.
Interacting with the media persons at the headquarters of the State BJP, Chauhan said in Dehradun district more than 900 bigha of land has been vested in the government and investigation in other cases is underway.
He said that the government has banned purchase of agricultural land in the mountainous districts and the cases where sale and purchase of lands have occurred against the norms investigations are underway.
The BJP leader added that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given clear orders to the district magistrates in this regard.
He said that the BJP stands committed to conserve the resources of the State. Chauhan said that the CM Dhami enacted a stringent land law as per the aspirations of the people of the State and it is now being implemented on ground. On the orders of the CM, the administration has acted promptly in the cases of illegal encroachment and land deals against the law. He added that the government’s action shows that every inch of the land of the State will be protected.
