A Sikh devotee, Karmjeet Singh, while returning from Hemkund Sahib with his friends after darshan died from injuries caused by a stone which fell from a hill near Atlakoti. The police and SDRF jawans sent him to Govindghat by a helicopter from where he was takem to the community health centre in Jyotirmath where the doctors declared him dead.
Ghangaria police post in-charge, Amandeep Singh said that Kamjeet Singh (32) was a resident of Maan Colony under Ramnagar police station limits in Karnal district of Haryana.
