In latest news from Uttarakhand, with monsoon arriving in the State by the end of June or early July, the safaris in certain zones of Corbett Tiger Reserve are all set to be closed from June 30 while night stay facility will be closed after June 15. In the monsoon season, day safari will be conducted only in Dhela, Jhirna and Garjia zones.
Informing this, the CTR director, Saket Badola said that safari and night stay facilities are closed keeping in view the safety of the tourists. “The rivers and streams meandering through the forest remain in spate during this time. June 14 will be the last day for night stay for tourists and this facility will resume from November 15. From June 30, Bijrani and Durgadevi zones will be closed for day visits of the tourists as well,” he added.
