CM directs DMs to prepare village & district plans to realize PM’s mission 2047

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the district magistrates to work in the direction of fulfilling the resolution of developed India by the year 2047 by preparing village and district level plans and executing them.  He said that the DMs should reach out to the people standing at the last ladder of the society and connect them with the public welfare schemes. The CM gave the instructions while chairing a meeting of all DMs of the State in a virtual mode.

In the meeting the CM directed that the DMs should work on five best practices and innovations related to public interest in their districts. He said that the first three districts to become TB free in the State will be rewarded. He said that the large scale plantation drive should be organised in all the districts on World Environment Day on June 05 and encourage the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign. The CM said for a plastic free Uttarakhand awareness drive should be held. 

The CM emphasised on the conservation of water sources and said that the progress of Amrit Sarovars should be regularly monitored.  In view of the ensuing monsoon season and forecast of above average rainfall in the State, the CM said that the districts should be fully prepared to meet any situation. He directed that all drains should be cleaned before the onset of monsoon. Keeping in mind the monsoon season, smooth arrangements of drinking water, electricity, roads should be ensured, water tanks should be kept clean, he said. 

In the meeting the CM directed the DMs to make necessary arrangements to prevent dengue, Covid-19 and malaria. He said that a special campaign should be launched to remove illegal encroachments along the roads in the State. CM said on International Day for Yoga, special Yoga camps should be organized.

On a stern note, the CM said that verification drives should be conducted more effectively and campaigns against illegally made Aadhar cards, Ayushman cards, ration cards and other documents should continue in the State.

Dhami said that the local products should be promoted and special attention should be given to one district and two products. He said that the CM announcements should be reviewed regularly by the DMs and special focus on the status of land banks in their districts. More efforts should be made towards rain water harvesting. The Chief Minister said that all kinds of protective measures should be taken for forest fire management as well. 

Principal Secretary R K Sudhanshu, Vice Chairman MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari, Kumaon commissioner Deepak Rawat attended the meeting. All the DMs were present in the meeting through virtual medium.
