Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will soon inaugurate newly constructed Hilans outlets at the Collectorate, Deen Dayal Upadhyay (Coronation) hospital and the tourist destination Guchhupani. These outlets will provide employment opportunities to women self help groups and offer a platform for marketing local products, the Dehradun district magistrate Savin Bansal said.

He informed that the construction of modern outlets, cafes, restaurants and canteens at public and tourist locations in the district has been completed. As a part of the State government’s self-reliant women’s group initiative, the outlets will be operated by local women groups.

In the first phase, four outlets have been opened at the Collectorate complex, near the Panchayat Ghar in Suddhowala, district hospital and Guchhupani. Bansal said that these outlets will not only serve food and organic products to the public but also support the livelihood of women’s self help groups by providing space to sell their products.

The initiative aims to boost local employment and ensure wider reach for traditional and regional goods through a structured marketing platform, he added.
