Covid cases: BD Pandey Hospital to set up Covid ward

In latest news from Uttarakhand, taking note of the increasing Covid 19 cases across the country, the Government BD Pandey District Hospital, Nainital is now on alert mode. To take stock of the hospital’s preparedness to combat such cases, the chief medical superintendent, Dr Tarun Kumar Tamta met doctors, nursing staff and employees of the hospital.
After the meeting, he said that the hospital management has taken all steps required to deal with it. “Though no Covid case has been reported so far we have decided to set up Covid ward. There is also an isolation ward in the hospital and the doctors have been instructed that if any serious case of cold and flu is found, Covid test must be done immediately,” he added.
A number of senior doctors was present at the meeting.
