The State Cabinet minister and Chaubattakhal MLA, Satpal Maharaj expressed his anguish over a hospital administration having sent the body of an accident victim tied to an e-rickshaw for post-mortem. He spoke to the Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat and senior Health department officers over the inhuman treatment of a body by the hospital administration and demanded immediate and stern actions against those responsible. Sources said that following Maharaj’s call, the Health minister ordered the chief medical superintendent of the hospital to reply.
Notably, a Kund resident Sandeep had died in an accident that occurred at Sukhai under Bironkhal block in Pauri district. A woman had also been killed in the accident.
