Doon International School organises dance competition ‘Ignius’

Doon International School organised an inter-house dance competition ‘Ignius’ in which all the four houses – Ashoka, Akbar, Ranjit and Teresa – presented dance. The directors of the school, H S Mann and Sonika Mann were present. The judges- Nishita Joshi and Abhinav Bhattacharya- in their addresses explained to the students the importance of personality development, self-expression and cultural harmony through artistic mediums like dance. They stressed on continuous self-improvement. The performances of all the houses were captivating, but the performance of Akbar House received the most appreciation and they were awarded the overall trophy for their perfect co-ordination of rhythm, expressions, rhyme and content was seen in their performance, the judges observed. The best child dancer award was presented to Rishi Gupta and Rudraksh Bharadwaj.
H S Mann said that the competition was not only a celebration of the students’ talent but it stood as a testimony to their unity, dedication and cultural consciousness.
