In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the Corona cases surging in several states, including the National Capital Region, two women, including an AIIMS Rishikesh doctor, have tested positive in Rishikesh. According to the State Health department officials, while the female doctor has a travel history with her recent Bengaluru visit the other came from Gujarat to attend a religious ceremony. The director general, Health, Sunil Tamta said that as both these women had Corona symptoms they had undergone tests. “They tested positive,” adding that no one from the State has tested Covid 19 positive so far.
He further said that while the AIIMS doctor is fine undergoing treatment at home the other woman who had come from Gujarat had pre-existing health conditions and was admitted to AIIMS, Rishikesh.
Notably, with the Covid 19 cases rising in many states, the Union Health Ministry has issued advisory to the Health departments of states.
