Former chief minister and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat will organise a kafal party here on Sunday.
The kafal (bayberry) is a popular fruit of Uttarakhand and it ripens in summers in the mountainous areas of the State. Former CM Rawat said that he organised the party of the local popular fruit to celebrate the stupendous victory of Indian armed forces in the Operation Sindoor. The former CM who is known to promote local products and food said that Kafal is deeply associated with the culture and tradition of Uttarakhand.
