Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the success of operation Sindoor has once again proved that India is fully capable of taking decisive action against terrorism. He was addressing the Tiranga Shaurya Samman Yatra in Haldwani on Saturday.
He said that with Operation Sindoor, India demonstrated the bravery of its soldiers and gave a clear message to terrorists and their supporters that the new India will now respond to every terrorist act proportionately.
The CM said that Uttarakhand is a land of brave soldiers where every family is associated with serving the country. He called upon the youth of the State to move forward by taking inspiration from the discipline, bravery and service of the army. Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the CM said that today India is capable of giving a befitting reply to any terrorist challenge and now the country’s borders are being protected with state-of-the-art indigenous technology. Today the Indian Army is responding to bullets with bombs.
Dhami said that India has given such a befitting reply to the terrorists that no enemy will dare to even look at India with raised eyes. He described the Shaurya Samman Yatra as a journey to salute and encourage the indomitable courage and valour of the armed forces. Dhami said that today’s India now takes direct action and our forces are always ready to deal with any situation.
He said that after the Pahalgam incident in which tourists were killed by the terrorists the PM decided to directly attack the root of terrorism.
“ The Indian armed forces were given a free hand. Without entering Pakistan’s border, our forces taught such a lesson to Pakistan-sponsored terrorists that even Pakistan was terrified. Along with destroying the terrorist bases in Pakistan, our armed forces also directly targeted the military bases of the Pakistan army that were nurturing the terrorists with the help of Indian drones and missiles,’’ he said.
The CM said that India’s military operation has proved that India is becoming self-reliant in the field of defence.
Dhami said that the indigenous weapons and other resources equipped with the latest technology manufactured in India are thousands of times more effective than the weapons and resources of any other country.
On an emotional note the CM said that he also belongs to a military family and that he feels proud to be a soldier’s son.
