The vice- chancellor of Kumaun University, Prof Diwan Singh Rawat conducted a surprise inspection of the semester examinations going on at the university’s DSB campus in Nainital. He visited various examination rooms and told the invigilators to ensure transparency, discipline and confidentiality of the examination. He stressed on ensuring all required facilities for the female examinees. Also, he reviewed the distribution of answer sheets, punctuality and compliance of all the standards set by the university. He made it clear that the university would brook no unfair practices during the examination.
Further, the VC inspected the ongoing construction and infrastructure enhancement works in the DSB campus, including new academic buildings being constructed for Mathematics, Music and other departments and expansion of laboratories. He laid stress on meeting the deadline and ensuring that the academic activities are not disrupted due to the construction works.
