The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the Himalayan Environmental Studies and Conservation Organisation (HESCO), Dehradun, to jointly promote sustainable development and innovation in rural and Himalayan regions. The MoA was signed in the presence of director, IIT Roorkee, K K Pant; founder of HESCO, Anil Joshi and special advisor, HESCO, Corey Glickman.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Pant said that while working closely with HESCO, they aimed to offer technological solutions that are not only sustainable but also accessible to underserved communities in the Himalayan region.
Joshi said thattheytogether could integrate grassroots innovation with academic excellence to co-create solutions that bring meaningful change.
