On the call given by the All India Congress Committee, the Uttarakhand Congress will organise a Samvidhan Bachao rally in Dehradun on Wednesday.
Thousands of Congress workers from all parts of the State are expected to attend the rally. On Tuesday, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara, leader of opposition in Vidhan Sabha Yashpal Arya, State co-in-charge Pargat Singh and other senior leaders inspected the arrangements at the Rangers ground, venue of the rally.
The general secretary of State Congress Naveen Joshi said that the Congress party is organising rallies across the country and under the programme given by the AICC, a mega rally will be organised in Dehradun.
He said that the state Congress committee has made necessary preparations for the successful organisation of the rally.
Expressing surprise at the reaction of the BJP leaders on the Samvidhan Bachao rally of Congress party, the chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said that the BJP organised a series of Press conferences in all parts of the State on Tuesday against the rally of the Congress party. She said that the reaction of the BJP shows that it has got nervous by the call given by the Congress party. Dasaunui said that the Congress workers are agitated at the action of the BJP government which is using Enforcement Directorate as a tool to harass Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others and to express this anger the Congress party is organising Samvidan Bachao rallies in all parts of the country.
She said that the State in-charge of the party Kumari Selja and all the senior leaders of the State Congress will address the rally.
