In an attempt to sharpen the attack of the party on the issues of the land laws and recent deaths in Haridwar district due to consumption of illicit liquor, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has constituted separate committees on these subjects. The Congress party had raised serious questions on the report of the high powered committee set by the state government on land laws. The PCC president Mahara has set up a three member committee headed by former cabinet minister Navprabhat to study the report of the government’s committee on land laws. The committee includes vice president organisation Mathura Dutt Joshi and state general secretary Govind Singh Bisht. Maharaj has also constituted a four member committee consisting of vice president Dhirendra Pratap, Satpal Brahmchari, PK Agarwal and Naveen Joshi. This committee would submit its report on the recent deaths of people in Haridwar district due to illicit liquor.
The members of the committee would visit the affected families and collect all the facts about the tragic deaths.
