The state health department reported 48 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 28 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,246 while a total of 3,28,262 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7366 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.91. The state health department reported 11 new patients of Covid -19 from Haridwar, nine each from Dehradun and Pithoragarh, six from Uttarkashi, five from Nainital, three each from Rudraprayag and Chamoli and one each from Almora and Udham Singh Nagar on Tuesday. No new cases of the disease were reported from Bageshwar Champawat and Tehri districts on the day.
The authorities reported three such deaths on Tuesday which had occurred in the past but went unreported earlier.
The state now has 581 active cases of Covid 19. Dehradun with 253 cases is at top of the table of active cases while Pithoragarh is at second spot with 61 active cases.
The state reported one new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) and death of two patients from the disease on Tuesday. A total of 557 patients of Black Fungus have been reported till date in the state and out of them 126 have died. In the ongoing vaccination drive 77,089 people were vaccinated in 643 sessions held on Tuesday in different parts of the state.
