45 booked in fighting among BJP members

A total of 45 persons have been booked under various sections of Indian Penal Code for the fight which took place between two factions of Bharatiya Janata Party members in Haridwar on Saturday. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon in Khannanagar Colony of Jwalapur Kotwali area.

It is being said that BJP leader Vishnu Arora, a supporter of former state president Madan Kaushik, along with about two dozen companions, reached the house of another BJP leader Deepak Tandon near Kaushik’s house. Arora and his supporters armed with sticks attacked Tandon’s house.These people allegedly indulged in violence and also fired about three rounds. Jwalapur police reached the spot after getting information about the incident, but by then the group which had allegedly initiated the violence had fled from there.

On the directions of the Haridwar senior superintendent of police, the police have booked 45 identified and unidentified people under different sections of IPC including 307.
