3 more Covid-19 & 2 more dengue cases reported in Dehradun

Three new cases of Covid-19 and two of dengue have been reported in Dehradun district on Friday.The chief medical officer (CMO) of Dehradun, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma said that one of the two dengue ‘positive’ patients has been admitted to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital while the other at the outpatient department (OPD) of Graphic Era Hospital. This raises the total number of confirmed dengue cases in the district to 121, which includes 68 cases from Dehradun and 53 from other districts or states.
He further said that there are currently 16 active dengue patients being treated: eight at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, two each at Himalayan Hospital, Graphic Era Hospital and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and one at GDMC while one patient is recuperating at home. On Friday alone, 108 dengue samples were collected, taking the cumulative total to 7,543 samples so far.
Speaking of the new Covid-19 cases, Dr Sharma said that three locals have tested positive on Friday. This raises the cumulative total to 61 of which 50 are locals and 11 are migrants. Currently, there are four active Covid-19 cases in the district of whom three are being treated at home and one at the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC).
He further said that 49 samples have been tested for Covid-19 on Friday, taking the total number of samples tested to 621.
