28 new Covid-19 cases, 24 recoveries in U’khand

The state health department reported 28 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 24 recoveries from the disease on Tuesday. No death from the disease was reported on the day.

The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,976 while a total of 3,29,183 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7387 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.98 while the sample positivity rate on Tuesday was 0.16 per cent. The department reported six deaths on the day which had occurred in the past on Tuesday. 

The state health department reported six new patients of Covid -19 each from Dehradun and Nainital, four from Pauri, three each from Almora and Chamoli, two from Udham Singh Nagar and one each from Bageshwar, Haridwar, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag districts on Tuesday. No new cases were reported from Champawat, Tehri, and Uttarkashi districts on the day.

The state now has 354 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 136 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 55 active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 90,947 people were vaccinated in 1011 sessions in the state on Tuesday.
