23 k pilgrims visit Badrinath on the first day

Braving the inclement weather, 23,580 devotees visited the Badrinath Dham on the day the shrine was reopened after closure for the six winter months and offered puja. The Chamoli district administration said that they have deployed adequate number of police, ITBP and SDRF personnel to ensure security for the large number of pilgrims visiting the shrine. Also, the Health department team is being kept on the alert mode to prevent any kind of serious health issues involving the pilgrims.
