ourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj said that maximum number of Yoga Acharyas should be invited to the International Yoga Festival so that the attendees receive proper information related to Yoga and Asanas. He instructed that a session on astrology should also be organized at the International Yoga Festival. The minister issued these instructions while chairing a meeting with the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) managing director Ashish Chauhan for the International Yoga Festival to be held from March 1 to 7 in Rishikesh.
Maharaj directed that a workshop should also be organised to promote Uttarakhand’s products as immunity boosters at the event. Aspects like live streaming, webinars and workshops should also be facilitated to maximise the reach of the event. Further, famous artists should be invited for religious and cultural programmes, said the minister.
Along with Chauhan, general manager Jitendra Kumar, deputy director YK Gangwar and senior research officer SS Samant from the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board were also present in the meeting.
