17 die from Covid-19 in Uttarakhand

510 fresh cases, 881 recoveries reported on Monday. Death toll mounts to 669 in the state.

The Covid-19 in Uttarakhand is continuing to take a major toll on lives. On Monday, the state health department reported deaths of 17 patients of Covid-19 in different parts of the state. With these deaths the toll from the disease has mounted to 669 in the state. The tally of the Covid-19 jumped to 51991 on Monday as the health department detected 510 fresh cases of the disease. Maintaining the trend of decent recovery from the disease, the authorities discharged 881 patients from different hospitals after they got cured.  A total of 42368 patients have so far got cured from the disease in the state. The recovery percentage for Covid-19 patients in the state now stands at 81.49 percent and out of total samples tested for Covid-19, 7.19 percent have tested positive for the disease.

On the day six patients of the disease expired at Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani. Similarly four patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on the day. Three patients were reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital and Synergy hospital, Dehradun each. One patient succumbed to the Covid-19 at Himalayan hospital Dehradun.

The department reported 204 patients in Dehradun, 116 from Haridwar, 56 from Udham Singh Nagar, 40 in Nainital, 28 in Uttarkashi, 17 in Chamoli, 16 in Champawat, 13 in Pithoragarh, 12 Rudraprayag, five from Pauri and two from Bageshwar on Monday. The state now has 8701 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 2757 active cases is at top of table while Haridwar with 1590 active cases is on second spot. Nainital has 790, Udham Singh Nagar 635, Tehri 624, Uttarkashi 562, Pauri 549, Chamoli 249, Pithoragarh 245, Champawat 237, Almora 185 and Rudraprayag 173 active patients of the disease. With 105 active patients of Covid-19 Bageshwar district is at bottom of the table.
