15-year old leaves home after being scolded by father, rescued from Ghaziabad
Nehru Colony police united a 15-year old missing minor with his family within 24 hours of him running away from home. The minor was found at Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad. It was found that he was left home in anger after he got scolded by his father on Monday evening.
According to the information provided, Shailendra Chauhan resident of Kedarpuram filed a written complaint at Nehru Colony police station on Tuesday, stating that his son left home on Monday evening without telling anyone about his whereabouts and hasn’t returned ever since.
As per the local police, the missing minor was not carrying more that Rs 500 in his pocket. He called his parents from Ghaziabad from a stranger’s phone and told them that he is in Punjab and they should not look for him. However, upon tracing back the number and reaching up to the man the phone belonged to it was found that the minor was still roaming around Mohan Nagar. The team went to Mohan Nagar in order to rescue the minor and bring him back safely.
Clinical psychologist, Dr Mukul Sharma said that in majority of the cases the reasons are anger management issues and peer pressure. More often than not parents react to their child’s anger with anger, but the important part is the tackling technique. If the communication between the parent and child is not resulting in effective result, then parents should look for any other relative, any adult within the family with whom the child feels more connected.
