10th Dehradun Int’l Film Festival begins on Nov 7

The 10th Dehradun International Film Festival will be held this year from November 7 to 9 at Tula’s Institute as well as at a mall in the city.
Like the last nine editions, this time too, many renowned personalities, directors, actors, singers and artists from the film world are likely to attend and directly communicate with the people of Uttarakhand.
The organiser of the festival, Rajesh Sharma informed that this year, along with the film festival, Uttarakhand Talent Hunt and Angan Bazaar Exhibition are also being held.
“The talent hunt competition will be held in two categories—8 to 15 years and 16 years and older. Participants will showcase their skills in various fields, including dance, acting, poetry, mimicry and singing. Winners selected by the jury will receive prizes and certificates. They will also be given the opportunity to participate in upcoming projects at the film festival,” he added.
He further said, “This is a golden opportunity Uttarakhand’s youth to showcase their talent and interact with senior artists. Our aim is to prepare young artists from Uttarakhand for the national stage.” He added that
this platform had helped many young directors and producers make their mark on the national level.
As a special initiative, a screening of the film Jane Bhi Do Yaaro will be held for visually impaired audiences on the first day of the festival.
